Death
YEAGERTOWN - Lee D. Tate, 66, of 11 N. Locke Ave., Yeagertown, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at his residence.
Born May 26, 1933, in Yeagertown, he was a son of the late J. Foster and Cleone F. (Fultz) Tate. His wife, Dorene (Wilson) Tate, whom he married in 1953, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Michael R. Tate, Burnham, Andrew F. Tate, Reedsville, and Adrienne Hoar, Yeagertown; brothers and sisters, Marjorie Moist Allen, Yeagertown, Neil Tate and David Tate, both of McClure, Donald Tate, Lewistown, Camilla Batipps, West Chester, and Kay Richard, Lebanon; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Tate; three brothers, Robert, William and Jerry Tate; and an infant brother, Rodney Tate.
He worked for Derry Township for 12 years and for the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown for 13 years.
He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Lewistown and the Yeagertown Fire Company.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Calvary Bible Church, 301 S. Pine St., Lewistown, with the Pastor Roger Reece officiating. Interment will be private.
There will be no public viewing but family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at their residence at 11 N. Locke Ave., Yeagertown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
