Death
Donald B. Pry Sr., 81, of Mountain Top, Luzerne County, formerly of Lewistown, died Thursday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre.
He was the son of the late William and Ida (Smith) Pry.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Yocum) Pry of Mountain Top, with whom he celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2000. Also surviving are: two daughters, Nancy J. Mintzer of Orefield and Deborah Toslin of Mountain Top; sisters, Mildred Pry and Gertie Palm, both of Lewistown, and Myrtle Holland of Ohio; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was employed as a welder for King Fifth Wheel Company, Mountain Top.He was a member of the National Rifle Association and operated a gun shop in Mountain Top.
He was a member of the Manbeck Mennonite Church of Beaver Springs. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater.
Services will be held Monday at the McCune Funeral Home Inc., South Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Interment will be in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top. Family will receive friends Saturday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home, Logan St., Lewistown with a service conducted by the Rev. C. Geissinger.
