Death
GREENVILLE - Emanuel O. Garber, 92, of rural Greenville died early morning, Oct. 10, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Garber was born in Montgomery County on Dec. 11, 1920, the son of the late Milton and Huldah (Miller) (Metzger) Garber. He was a member of Painter Creek Old German Baptist, Arcanum, and was a retired farmer and worked part-time construction for Jude Oswalt.
Emanuel was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine (Brumbaugh) Garber, who died Jan.15, 2000, a great-granddaughter, two brothers Raymond and William Garber, three sisters Orpha Musser, Opal Lavy, and Anna Mae Garber.
He is survived by his son, Fred A. (Becky) Garber of Troy; two daughters Mary (Doug) Peters of Greenville and Betty (Larry) Oliver of Xenia; six grandchildren Dan (Joann) Garber, Sally (Kevin) Vreeland, Alice (Eric) Wilkerson, Arlan (Becky) Peters, Aaron Locker and Mindy Locker; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Painter Creek Old German Baptist Meeting House, Arcanum, with Brother Kenny Landis and the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg.
