Death
Patricia Ann Baker, 77, a resident of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown for four years, passed away 12:35 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.
Born July 1, 1931, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. Gilbert and Ada E. (Ort) Gilbert. Her husband, Reverend Harold D. "Big" Baker, preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1997.
Surviving are: children, David G. Baker, of Lewistown, Betsy Sullivan and husband, Brad, of Chandler, Ariz., Laurie J. Baker, of San Francisco, Calif., Chris E. Baker and wife, Christine, of Reedsville; brother, Samuel R. Gilbert, of Advance, N.C.; sister, Mrs. Elmer (Nancy) Charles, of Lewistown; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Jeffrey (Jessica) Nail, Emily Baker, Patrick Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan.
She helped her husband "Big" Baker start the Milroy C.M.A. Church in 1971. She was a 1949 graduate of Lewistown High School and a member of Evangel Baptist Church, Lewistown, PA.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, with the Dr. Darrell Wireman officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, PA.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ohesson Manor, 276 Green Ave. Ext., Lewistown, PA 17044.
