Death
Calvin Maywood Brumbaugh, 72, of West Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born May 28, 1936, to the late Aubrey and Susan (Bashore) Brumbaugh. On Feb. 9, 1957, he married Betty Lou Smith; and she survives.
Other survivors include two children, Debra Joy (Brumbaugh) (Ebert) Schumann of Troy and Darla (Brumbaugh) Baldonado of West Milton; two grandchildren, Shanna Joy Ebert of Purdue University and Nathan Ebert, a senior at Troy Christian; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alice Sue and Bob Middlestetter of Arcanum, Linda Kay and Jerry Sherick of Dunnellon, Fla.
A sister, Shirley (Brumbaugh) Wehrley, preceded him in death.
Cal graduated from Milton-Union in 1954. He retired from Hobart Brothers in 1988. He was a member of Covenant Church in Vandalia and active as a volunteer in the West Milton community.
As in life, Cal will continue to be of service to others by donating his body to Wright State University School of Medicine.
A celebration of Cal's life is being planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society earmarked for research; Hospice of Dayton, or a charity of your choice. It was his desire to continue to help others.
