| Life sketch | The registers of Notre Dame de Québec establish that on the 24 Jun 1661, the body of Sieur Jean de Lauzon, as also those of Nicolas Couillard dit Bellerive and Ignace Levestre, were interred in the church, and the bodies of Ellie Jacques Champagne, Jacques Penoche, Toussaint and François were buried in the cemetery. All were victims of the Iroquois raid. |
