Guillemette Hébert

(1606 - 20 Oct 1684)

Guillemette was buried in the church of Hotel-Dieu of Quebec, and she inherited the seigneuries of her father and sold part of St. Joseph to Jean Talon on the 17 Jan 1668 and gave the rest of St-Joseph to Jean Baptiste Couillard on the 16 Oct 1680. She sold the land of Sault au Mattelot to Francois de Laval on the 10 Apr 1666 (a sale which was contested by her children) [DBC 1 376-377]

HÉBERT, GUILLEMETTE (Couillard de Lespinay), daughter of Louis Hébert and Marie Rollet, m. Guillaume Couillard de Lespinay 26 Aug. 1621 at Quebec; b. in Paris or Dieppe, France c. 1606; d. 20 Oct. 1684 at Quebec and was buried there the following day.
