Military
Israel Alden served as a Private in Captain Noah Lankton's company in Colonel John Ashley's (Berkshire County) regiment. He enlisted on September 19, 1777, and was discharged on October 16, 1777, after 28 days of service. During this period he marched to Stillwater by order of Brigadier General Fellows.Endnotes
