Alfredo Diaz

(23 Apr 1884 - 17 Apr 1963)

When he and his wife came to America in 1912, they were said to have booked on the Titanic but it was over booked. It sailed on April 10, 1912. They had to wait and sailed on the Adriatic from Liverpool, England on May 25, 1912. The Titanic thing has never been proven at this time. Avelino was only 11 mons. at the time. He and my Grandmother used her last name Alvarez. Most immigrant woman used their maiden names when coming to the U.S.
