Individual Details
Flavy Cora Smith
(19 Mar 1917 - 28 May 1999)
When Flavy was 14 she moved from Michgan back to Annapolis, MO from Plymouth,
MI. At 18 she moved back to Michagan & did work at the Ford plant sewing car
seats. Her granddaughter Tammy took care of her the last 3 years of her life.
Flavy "Cora" had several small strokes & then about 2 months before she passed
away she had a major one that left her without speech. Her father was so mean
that he would not let Flavy learn to play the harmonica when she wanted, so
her mother let her, & she learned under the covers at night - VERY quietly!
