Charles Edward Smith

(17 Jun 1883 - 13 Mar 1971)

Charles was a tyrant! He wanted boys & only had daughters, so they had to
help on the farm! When his daughter Flavy was bit by a snake he would not
take her to the doctor, but instead put her ankle in a bucket of kerosene. One
time she heard noises under the bed & was afraid it was a snake. Flavy died
from mini strokes like her mother. They just took so much at the last that she
couldn't move or eat, so she just wasted away. After being bitten by a snake
Flavy was always afraid there was a snake waiting to bite her until she died!
