Martha Ann PERKINSON
(Abt 1825 - 10 Sep 1907)
Obituary in the "Religious Herald", a Baptist Newspaper published in Richmond, Virginia
Published 10/31/1907
"MARTHA ANNE WINGO Mrs. Martha Anne Wingo, widow of Major Samuel B. Wingo, died September 10, 1907, in her eighty-second year. Just a year and two days before her death, her husband died. They had been companions for fifty-six years and the period of seperation was brief. Her long life was one of service and obedience to the Master's will. She was a faithful and loyal servant and until old age robbed her of the pleasure she was an active member of the church. She was cheerful and bright: at all times thoughtful of others, taking delight in contributing to their pleasure. She is survived by a brother, two sisters and four children. While we mourn the loss of a life so true, we know that our loss is her gain. L.A.R."
