Funeral services were held this morning at 10 a. m. at Norton Mortuary for Linnie A. Gregory, 96, who died Friday evening in a Turlock hospital following an extended illness; Internment followed in Turlock Memorial Park.
A native of Georgia, she moved to Indian territory when she was about nine years old, and later moved to Texas. She moved to Los Angeles in 1926, to Oakland in 1927, and to Roseville in 1929. She managed an apartment comples there before moving to Turlock in 1938.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters and her husband.
She is survived by two daughters: Annie Lee Skelly of Lakeside, Calif. and Mabell Jenkins of Palmdale, Calif.; a brother, Coleman Wingo of Texas; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. LaReau Thorwall, pastor of the Evangelical Free Church of Turlock, officiated at services."
