Served in the Revolutionary War against Great Britain. Enlisted in February, 1778 for one year. He joined the 1'st Virginia Regiment of Foot, under Captain Charles Pelham's Company, commanded by Colonel Richard Parker. He was at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania in June, 1778, in White Plains, New York in August and September, 1778, and in New Windsor, New York from December, 1778 until March, 1779. He was discharge on March 6, 1779 at Camp Middleton, New York.

No bounty warrant or pension listed.
