Rites Held Today For James E. Wingo, Sr.
Funeral services for James Edward Wingo, Sr. 49, of Springfield, were held this morning at the Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Shelton Officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wingo died of a heart attack Saturday morning at his home.
The son of J. S. and Bertha Byrum Wingo, he was born in Nashville.
For the past several years he owned and operated a restaurant and tourist court at Springfield. He had been suffering from a heart ailment for the last six years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Wingo, two sons, James E. Wingo, Jr. and Russell T. Wingo; two daughters, Miss Martha Ann Wingo and Mrs. Nancy Powers; and his father, J. E. Wingo, all of Nashville.
