"Died at her residence in this District, on the 24th of May last, Mrs. Elizabeth Wingo, in her 83rd year of age ... born in Amelia Co., VA and became the wife of Abner Wingo. In 1800 they moved to Spartanburg. In 1811, her husband died leaving his wife and family of small children, 4 of whom are living, grandmother of 54, great grandmother of 81, and great great grandmother of two."
