Births of parents and children come from bible record... Marriage uses Fossit...

Came with his brothers, John and Abner and cousin William, from Virginia to the Spartanburg District of South Carolina around 1793 after the close of the Revolution. His cousin Obediah had been in Spartanburg County since before 1785. A Thomas Wingo, possibly the brother of Obediah and William, was in Spartanburg District in 1785. If it was their brother he returned to Virginia and did not leave Virginia again before his death.

"Zachariah Wingo, Abner Wingo, and the first Wingo mentioned (John Washington Wingo, Jr.) were brothers. They also came from Virginia to Spartanburg District after the close of the Revolution, Zachariah settling on Jorden's Creek waters of North Tyger River, whose wife was Sallie Fosset, whom he married in Virginia before his emigration from that state. By this marriage he had eight children, as follows: Betsey, who married Patton Tinsley; Anna, who married Peter Haskins; Dolly, who married David Tinsley; Burrel, who married Deliah Foster; Zachariah, who married Jane Foster; Anderson, who married Maiden High; Wilson, who married Mary Chapman; and Paschal, who married Maiden Foster."
