Thonis Klincken

(Abt 1619 - )

Custom Field:<_FA#> aka- Anthony
the father of Anthony Tunis was Abraham Tunis. So, the son Anthony was
born 1693, some thirty-three years after the birthyear of the father Abra
ham,
which was in ca. 1660. Between the brothers, Abraham and Arendt, Arendt w
as probably older,
so that explains why Arendt'sgranddaughter was old enough to marry Abraha
m's
son. The actual birth dates of the two brothers may not be known; so don
't take
the dates 1660 and 1628 too literally. [Again, I am away from my notes, b
ut I
would imagine these two years are educated guesses that other researche
rs have
posited.] Ialso imagine the birth year of their father, Thonis Klincke
n, in 1619, is
another approximate date; the year of his marriage in 1644 may be document
ed
(but I can't recall if that is the case). This would indicate the old
er brother was
born later, perhaps ca. 1645 or later.
The cities are near each otherand both in Germany, not far from the bord
er with Holland.
Today the formeris called Monchen-Gladbach and is a pretty large industri
al metropolis.
Thelatter is known as Dahlem (or, I think, perhaps, Rhein-Dahlem) today.
