1689. She and Joseph are reported to have had at least ten children.

Clarence V. Roberts book "History of the Potts Family" States that Jonas Potts, father of Rachel, founded the town of Pottstown, PA.

Margaret (Potts) Cox, probably a cousin of the brides, referred to as an acceptable minister among the Friends. Gwynedd Meeting records a double wedding at house of Jonas Potts, his daughs. Rachel and Elizabeth. Among Friends, it was customary in signing marriage certificates, for those, who were near of kin to the contracfting parties, to sign together in the right hand column. Those who signed as witnesses, in the place for relatives, in this instance were Jonas Potts, Mary Potts, David Potts, Thomas Potts, John Potts, Thomas Potts, Rees Potts, Mary, Mary Potts, and Hannah Potts.
