"He was a man of talents and very marked religious principles; what he determined to be his duty, that he did". From him was descended the "most numerous branch of the Wetmore family, and that furnished many members of intellectual ability, elevated character and high toned morality".
He was ordained the 1st Congregational Minister of North Haven, Conneticut.
