He and a brother didn't come to Germantown, but took refuge in Coblenz under the protection of the Elector of Brandenburg, apptly at his invitation. He had Frederick Opden graff, father of his grandson, Johan Wilhelm, came to PA in late 1740's or in 1753 (to Philadelphia), visited his cousins in Germantown, then settled in Berks Co near Reading. He was a locksmith and a gunsmith.
