Notes
Marriage
E. A. Craryl, a neighbor and a Justice of the Peace married Francis and Ruth Ann. It was a compromise since Ruth Ann was strongly committed to her Quaker Church and Francis, having been a soldier, was not the type of person to be welcomed into Quaker Meetings. All of their eight children were raised in the Quaker faith.
