Residence
In the Iowa census of 1900, Fannie C. (RUSSELL) WEED is listed as having given birth to eight children, seven of whom lived to adulthood. She also lists herself and her parents as being born in French Canada (East Canada).Residence
Fanny lists her occupation as housekeeper; she had eight years of "common" education (I believe that this means that she had no formal schooling but her knowledge equaled an eighth grade education); her church affiliation was Congregational and that her father's birthplace was Scotland, her mother's birthplace was England and her's was Canada. Fanny also stated that she had lived in Iowa and the United States for 39 years.Death
The physician who signed Fannie's death certificate, Dr. M. H. Marken, stated that Fannie had contracted tuberculosis while living in Mason City, Cerro Gordo, IA and had suffered its effects for four years prior to her death.Endnotes
