Marriage
"Whereas Zacharias JESS of Springfield Twp. and Rachel LIPPINCOTT, daughter of Restore LIPPINCOTT, of Northampton Twp., Burlington county in the province of West New Jersey declare their intentions to marry . . . this eleventh day of the fifth month in the year according to English account one thousand seven hundred and thirteen."Witnesses included: Restore Lippincott, Hannah Lippincott, Samuel Lippincott, James Lippincott, Jacob Lippincott, and Freedom Lippincott.
Marriage
"Whereas Francis DAWSON of Northampton, County of Burlington in the West Division of New Jersey, son of Richard DAWSON of Pennsylvania and Rachel (LIPPINCOTT) Jess, relict of Zachary[sic] Jess and the daughter of Restore LIPPINCOTT of Northampton, County of Burlington aforesaid having declared their intentions of marriage with each other before several monthly meeting of the people called Quakers at Burlington . . . having consent of friends and relations, their proposals were allowed . . . Know these are to certify to whom it may concern on this nineteenth day of the ninth month of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty-nine, the said Francis DAWSON and Rachel JESS became husband and wife." [paraphrased]Witnesses included: Restore Lippincott, James Lippincott, Jacob Lippincott and Anna Lippincott.
