Death
Glen A. Medley, 70, of Rt. 5, Monticello, died at 7:40 a.m. May 1,1992, it While County Memorial Hospital, Monticello. He had been a patient there for eight days. He had been in declining health the past 18 months. Born May 26, 1921, in Yeoman, he was the son of Grover C. Sr. and A. Maud Burris Medley. He was a lifetime resident of Carroll and White counties. His marriage was on May 8, 1942, in Peru, to Doris M. Hallam, who survives. He worked in the Entomology Building at Purdue University for three years, retiring in 1976. He was also a retired Carroll County farmer and had co-owned and operated D&M Alignment Shop in Delphi. He was a member of the Monticello Christian Church and Delphi American Legion Post 75. Also surviving are three daughters, Marlene Trautner of Lilburn, Ga., Joyce Furr of Orlando, Fla., and Judy Sledge of Rossville; three brothers, Lawrence Medley of Delphi, Paul Medley of Riverview, Fla., and Grover C. Medley Jr. of Monticello; a sister, Wilma Benner of Lafayette; his mother, of Monticello; and eight grandchildren. Services were Monday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Arterburn officiating. Burial was in Yeoman Cemetery, with American Legion rites.Delphi Carroll County Comet, May 6, 1992
