Individual Details
David Henry "Harry" CRAGHILL
(20 Dec 1892 - 18 Sep 1979)
Mum says he was a sawyer (although she may have meant he married a Sawyer). He married Cecelia Sawyer and emigrated to Queensland about 1922. Family letters indicated he taught mechanics, woodworking and electrics at Townsville Technical College and later was a mechanical instructor at Brisbane Institute of Technology. In a letter to his mother he speaks of wearing a special singlet. Betty said he'd had double pneumonia, another time he had a duodenal ulcer. Cremated at Mt Thompson Crematorium, Brisbane.
Jay Gribble says "My grandfather was what used to be known as a Trades Teacher and I know he worked well into his 70's!"
