Zena says: "George Weston's parents lived in Seventh Avenue, Windsor, opposite 'Boothville'. Their land went from Seventh A venue through to Eildon Road and they gave the Eildon Road allotment to George and Isabella to build a home.
George came from Salford, Manchester, England and Isabella from Edinburgh, Scotland. They met here in Australia and married after they emigrated with their respective families. There were six children in the family and Mary was the eldest. Her siblings were named Winifred, (known as 'Wyn') Ridgeway, (known as 'Ridge'), Alan, Ida and Les. They also are all deceased now. George and his family lived in Gatton when Mum was about 19 and he and his son, Ridge published a weekly paper called, the Gatton Times."
