James Edward "Ted" WHELAN 🧬

Ted was born in Longreach on 20 December 1895 and was a cabinet maker, builder and carpenter by trade.
Occupation on Joyce's death certificate shown as carpenter.
The house in Longreach where, as a baby, Zena came home to from the hospital. It is still there, although added to, on the corner of Galah and Pelican Streets. Ted's parents lived at different times in the two houses across the street. It was Bram's home for three years and Zena's for her first ten months.
Towards the end of 1921 the family moved to Brisbane where the other children were born.
Ted was 85 when he died.
