Lloyd ALFORD

(31 May 1924 - 21 Jun 1994)

Trish says, "There was also a Lloyd Alford who lived on the Cape Otway Road, Modewarre. He had a sister called Muriel who married a TURNBULL and I know she lived at Ballarat later in life. I think Muriel and Lloyd were Clive's sister and brother. Lloyd lived in the house on Cape Otway Road with his mother his whole life."

Nola says, "Lloyd loved his farm at Modewarre. He had chooks and grew all sorts of vegetables.... He was very self sufficient. He used to do farm work for the Batson family. Every Monday he would catch the bus from Modewarre to Geelong to bring fresh eggs to my mother. He took care of his mother when she was sick with cancer and she died in the bedroom at the house in Cape Otway Rd. Lloyd worshipped his mother. When she died he was very lost."

Mt Moriac Cemetery Trust has his birth date as 31 May 1922.
