Richard John TAYLOR

(15 Jun 1946 - 1988)

Richard attended school in Guernsey, Iowa, and was a 1965 graduate of BGM High School in Brooklyn, Iowa. He lived most of his life in Poweshiek County and had worked for Amana Refrigeration in Amana, Iowa. He later worked for Y&M Hardware and owned and operated Dick's Plumbing and Heating, both in Brooklyn. The family moved to Iowa City in 1987 where he was employed at Roe Heating and Air Conditioning.
He was an 18 year member of the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department, had served nine years in the National Guard and had been a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Brooklyn.

Marriage

I find it very odd that this marriage is also recorded at the Poweshiek County Courthouse since the marriage took place in Chickasaw County.

Death

Richard died of a heart attack.
