"MARTIN TSCHUDI, born in 1744, according to his affidavit in Orphan's Court, Baltimore Town, Maryland, when he was applying for a Revolutionary War pension. (Read his affidavits and testimony before the Court which shows that he served in The "Flying Camp" (not airplane) but fast moving soldiers for guard and other duties in or near York Co., Pa. His affidavits before the Court shows that he served in the "Flying Camp," which is not airplanes, but fast moving soldiers for guard and other duties in and around York County, Pa. His wife's name was Barbara (________?) Tschudy and they had two or more sons and several daughters. In 1784, he returned from York County, Pa to Baltimore Town and built the first mill at Qwynns Falls and it was still standing a few years ago [as of 1954]." (History and Genealogy of the Judy ...
