Mosetta (Turney) Davis and her husband, John Davis, arrived in Glen Cove, Coleman County, Texas in May 1879 and lived on the 80 acres owned by her brother, Hansboro Bell Turney for a year. They remained in Coleman County until about 1893, then moved to New Mexico, then to various places in Texas, finally settling in Houston about 1903.
