"Julia Della was known to one and all as "Dell". She married Newman Free at the age of l8, and had two stillborn sons with him, before his death at the age of 25 in February 1920 from pneumonia. She married Jim Hestand two weeks before her 29th birthday in 1923. She loved family and liked nothing better than to be doing for her family. To her, family included extended family -- her parents, her brothers and their children,etc. She was a good cook and homemaker, and excellent seamstress.
