William "Devil Bill" Thomas

(January 17, 1790 - May 17, 1866)

"Second son, William Thomas, married Mary Pugh; one son, Stephen lived on Wilson Creek, afterward moved west. William Thomas and Mary Pugh had five daughters: Ann, married Mr. Reeves; Susan, married Enoch Cox; Ludema married Alexander Phipps; Amelia married Andrew Young of Wilson; sons: Dr. S. E. Young, Baywood, Virginia; Dr. Robey Young, of Florida; Floyd Young, of Wilson; one daughter married Mr. Jones, of Ashe County, N. C."
