"Ike Frank Roberts, aged 78, of Mabelvale died Wednesday, September 3. He was a member of Mabelvale Baptist Church and a retired Missouri-Pacific railroad section foreman. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie Hammond Roberts; a son, W. R. Roberts of Mabelvale; a sister, Mrs. Velma Sullivan of Mabelvale, two grand-children and two great-grandchildren. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday at Mabelvale Baptist Church. Burial was at Lee Cemetery here by Ashby Funeral Service." (THE BENTON COURIER, Thursday, September 11, 1969.)
