Henry Clay Judia

(Bet 1823 and 1826 - Aft 1858)

"Henry Clay Judy was born ca. 1826 in Clarke County, Kentucky. When he became of age and married he moved to Missouri. It may be that he was older than his brother James. In some library History of Missouri was the biography of Henry Clay Judy and he had a wife and children. No other record at this time." ("History and Genealogy of the Judy - Judah - Tschudy - Tschudin - Tschudi - Schudi Family of America and Switzerland 870 A.D. to 1954 A.D.," 1954, Marion Pomeroy Carlock, 828 South Plymoth Blvd., Los Angeles 5, California, printed by The Bookman Press, page 276.) (NOTE FROM JUDIA TERRY: The C. is probably for Clay. I don't have solid proof that Henry C. Judia, father of John Franklin Judia, is the same as Henry Clay Judy, son of David Judy, but more than likely they are one in the same. It appears that Marion Carlock has this Henry Clay mixed up, with another Henry Judy (or Judia). I have found no evidence that this Henry Clay went to Missouri, but died in Lincoln County, Tennessee.)

1850 Lincoln County, Tennessee census, Dist. #8, taken 27 August 1850, Dwelling 384: Henry JUDEA, 27, m, farmer, Ky; Lucy JUDEA, 19, f, Ala; Thomas JUDEA, 1, m, Tn.
