"Jno. Greer, Jr., son of Jno. and Elizabeth, born June 21, 1770." (ST. JOHN'S AND ST. GEORGE'S PARISH REGISTERS, BALTIMORE & HARFORD COUNTY, MARYLAND 1696 - 1851, 1987, transcribed by Henry C. Peden, Jr., M.A. from microfilm in the Maryland Historical Society Library in Baltimore, Maryland, page 19 - page 46 of the Register.)
(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Many researchers and published works, including GREGOR, MacGREGOR, MacGHEE, MAGRUDER, GRIERSON, GRIER, GREER, "Greer Family, Originating In Maryland," 1954 by Robert M. Torrence, page 218, have stated "Aquilla and John Greer were twins, both being born 10 July 1768." I am not sure if they had referenced an identical christening date, or if they were using some family tradition to give this information. It does appear from the above source the date stated in St. John's Register is a birth date.)

"Margaret WALLACE, born May 20, 1786, was married to John GREER, February 16, 1807. Children: 1. Eleanor Bentley GREER, born April 30, 1808, married (???) DUPREZ, and they moved, it is believed to Louisville, Ky., where some of their descendants at one time lived. 2. Frances Bentley GREER, born June 8, 1810. 3. Sarah Selina GREER, born July 28, 1812, married Rev. W. E. POST, of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, sixth pastor of the church at Washington, Pa., who was converted at the great camp meeting held in September 1831. Mrs. GREER died March 23, 1813, when Eleanor B., and Sarah Selina GREER her daughters, were taken home and reared by Mrs. George Wallace BENTLEY, but there is no record of the other child, Frances B. GREER, who it is supposed died in infancy." (Some Pioneers of Washington CO, PA, by F.S. Reader; 1902.)
