"In the 1900 Morgan County, Kentucky census Mary Elizabeth was living with Hiram and Zarilda as Elizabeth Fugett, daughter, married 1 year. With her is Elisha G. Oney, grandson, born July 1895. HAMILTON, age 54, divorced, 3 of 3 children living, KY, KY, KY, general farm, owned farm free; Greer ONEY, age 14, her son, hadn't attended school since Sept 1, 1909. (In 1910 Mary's farm was located about 15 miles from her brother, Robert Lee Greear's farm in Mountain Park, Oklahoma. It appears that she may have gone out to stay with him in 1900 - 1902.

(Not sure of any relationship of family to Elizabeth (Greear) Owney.)
"MRS. ONEY DIES SUNDAY MORNING - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Oney, age 73 years died at her home in the 900 block on North Forest at 5 a. m. Sunday. The funeral was held at the Methodist church at 4 p. m. Sunday. Interment was made in the city cemetery. F. B. Tims, undertaker, was in charge of the funeral arrangements. (Altus Times Democrat Newspaper, August 13, 1928, page 1, column 6.)
