"James Greer born February 6, 1815 married first Eliza Grinstead, Second, Mrs. Martha Smith Dudley born December 11, 1818 Married December 1847, died June 7, 1900. James and Martha Greer lived in Johnson County 12 miles Southeast of Warrensburg and are buried in Greer Cemetery on the farm. Greer data obtained from family Greer Bible and records in possission of Beulah Stone, Grand daughter of James Greer. James Greer and his wife Martha Smith Dudley Greer were third cousins, she being the 1st cousin of his Grandmother Sallie Smith Divers. Data from James Greer's cousin, Mrs. Mollie Greenlee."
