"Thomas Jefferson Cantrell was born 15 Feb 1868 in Henderson County, Texas. He married 1st Dora Hall. They were the parents of seven children. She died 3 July 1917 and Thomas married 2nd Frances "Fanny" Shots, one child a girl. Thomas died 4 April 1934 in Van Zandt County, Texas and is buried at the Edom Cemetery. At the time of his death he lived at Ben Wheeler, Route #1. This researcher has located the names of four children. In 1944, one son wrote a letter in which he stated there were five boys and three girls, one half sister. Two were dead."
