Franklin Greer

"Franklin Greer, son of Jesse was born February 2, 1822 and married Charlotte Younce (Born 8-2-1823 Died 9-13-1912). He died August 14, 1879. They had seven children whose names appear on the following page. Franklin was born at Zionville, North Carolina and married Charlotte there but moved to Caney Creek in Pike County, Kentucky around 1860 where he spent a few years before returning to Zionville where he spent the remaining years of his life and died on August 14, 1879 and is buried there. When Charlotte died in 1912, she was placed by his side. Their graves may be seen there on the outskirts of Zionville, North Carolina." (GREER - A FAMILY RECORD, 1942 by John M. Greer., page 26.)
(NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Warren H. Houck gives a marriage date of 26 Oct 1866 in Johnson County, Tennessee for Franklin Greer and Charlotte Rebecca Younce. This was after the birth dates of all their children. I am not sure if this is a typo, or if there is some other explanation.)
