William Aziel Knapp Elsberry
(February 28, 1840 - November, 1895)
"William Elsberry served in the Union Army in the Civil War; came to North Dakota in 1886, homesteading on the shore of Rock Lake. Buried at the feet of William and Rachel in the Rolla Cemetery lie the remains of a colored servant, Aunt Lettie, who wished to be buried there, having refused to go back to Missouri to be near her relatives.
