"Luke "Duke" Easley, 38, of Gurdon died recently. He was born April 10, 1964 in Gurdon, son of Roy Elmer and Lavelle McClure Easley. He was a member of Oak Grove Community Church. Survivors include: his parents; six brothers, Philip Easley and Dusty and his wife Kitty Easley of Arkadelphia and Roy Lynn, Lester, Mark and Nick Easley of Gurdon; two sisters, Charlotte Whitley of Arkadelphia and Lisa Jones of Prescott. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003, in the Easley Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Rogers and Bro. Harry Stone officiating. Burial was under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Royce McClure, Jerry Palmer, Donald Warren, David McDaniel, Danny McDaniel and John Wayne McClure.
