"Mark Easley, 39, of Gurdon, has been charged with two counts of first degree sexual abuse. According to court records, on July 11, 2000, the mother of a nine-year-old boy told officers Easley had touched her son in a private area. The parents confronted Easley before going to the police, telling him to stay away from their child. On the same day, a "Hot Line" call came in concerning Easley allegedly molesting another nine-year-old victim. Easley was arrested on July 14, and denied he'd done anything. he court ordered him to undergo a psychological evaluation. The results showed him to be mildly retarded, but unable to assist in his own defense. Easley has been ordered to be committed to the Arkansas State Hospital.
