"JOHN (CURT) CANTRELL DIES AT McMINNVILLE --- Mr. John Curtis Cantrell, 72 years old, a native of DeKalb County, died at the home of his daughter, Mr. P. G. Magness, at McMinnville last Saturday following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, conducted by Rev.Felix Cantrell, and Br. Byrns of McMinnville, and burial was in the Fuson Cemetery at Keltonburg. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Annie Adcock Cantrell; three daughters Mrs. Magness, Mrs. Etta Green and Mrs. Beulah McDale; eight sons, Herschil, Robert, Pat, Sterling, George, Jim, Earl, and Eugene Cantrell. R. R. Herndon in charge."

"KELTONBURG --- Mr. Curt Cantrell died June 27, after being sick quite awhile. He leaves a wife and 8 children to mourn his death; Mr. Pat Cantrell, Mr. Bob Cantrell of Nashville, Mrs. P. G. Magness of McMinnville, Mrs. Monroe Green and Mrs.Ray McDale of Sparta, Earl Cantrell, Gene and Herschil of Keltonbutg and Jim Cantrell of McMinnville. We all sympathize with the family."
