"Roland Walters, 80, of Camden, died Saturday, March 16, 2002. Walters was a tool handler for Reynolds Metal, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Walters of Camden; son, Donald Walters of Blue Springs, Missouri.; step-sons, Jerry Hastings of Gurdon, and Phillip Hastings of Camden; daughters, Linda Chisholm of Moon Township, Pennsylvania., and Peggy Leamons of Curtis; sisters, Alice Griffin of Gurdon, Nettie Winkle of Rexburg, Idaho, Cebel Stephens of Flagstaff, Arizona; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three sons, Nicky R., Dennis R., and Ramon D. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 19, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rod Chisholm officiating. Burial was in Davis Cemetery in Vaden under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon." (The Gurdon Times, Gurdon, Arkansas, March 27, 2002.)
