"Harold L. Kemper - Entered into Eternal Rest, Sunday, January 28, 1979 (with picture) - Lyons - Harold L. Kemper, 72, died Sunday in the Lyons District Hospital. He was born February 17, 1906, in Geneseo. He married Ruth R. Hogan September 24, 1972, in Minneapolis. He was a retired pipeline mechanic and lived here since 1976, coming here from Eldorado Springs, Missouri. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Odd Fellows Lodge No. 412 and Crystal Rebekah Lodge No. 172, all of Lyons. Survivors include his wife; one son, Bill of Lyons; two stepsons, Keith Moore of Mount Hope and Frank Moore of Sedgwick; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Guerra of Independence, Missouri, and Mrs. Shirley Abrahams of Oak Grove, Missouri; three brothers, E. O. of Kingston, Oklahoma; George of Midland, Texas; and Ben of Erie, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bolton of Mitchell; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the Sillin-Crawford-Miller Funeral Home in Lyons with the Rev. Tom Parish officating. Burial will be in the Frederick Cemetery.
