"The data on the descendants of John Fitch Greer was compiled by Clarence Howard Greer, a grandson of John Fitch Greer. This was recopied by Mrs. Frances Alice (Greer) Ketchum, a granddaughter of John Fitch Greer." (GREER FAMILY, 1980 by William Greer Peck, page 15.) (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: The marriage date for John Fitch Greer and Martha Tennessee Greer as given from this source is 23 December 1908. This date is apparently incorrect, as the first four of their children were born before 1908. Also the death date of Martha Tennessee Greer and the birth date of their last child, Ernest Clyde Greer, are as given in Peck's book. One must be incorrect, but I have no further information to determine which. Birth dates of his two children from his second marriage are also as given from this source, but appear to be too close together.)
