"Robert Greer, son of Thomas Greer and Jane Dunlap born ____? died March 8, 1801 m1-October 27, 1776 Elizabeth ____? m2-Mary ____? Came from Pennsylvania to Greene County (Wilkes), Georgia with children No mention of wife. Children ages 2 to 20. Issue: -- (of Robert Greer). a--Robert Greer, born 1753 died 1822. Married November 9, 1775 Margaret Livingson. b--Moses Grier, born 1759, died 1837 in Autauga County, Alabama." (Greer Chart by Leonard Greer of Lancaster, Pennsylvania as per GREER FAMILY, 1980 by William Greer Peck, page 113. NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: This is a very confusing statement. It appears that a father and son, both named Robert, are being presented. But, the father could not have been a son of Thomas Greer and Jane Dunlap and had sons born in 1753 and 1759. Yet the main listing of Thomas and Jane Greer's children do not show a Moses. Perhaps Leonard Greer was presenting a Robert Greer that he thought should belong in Thomas Greer's group. I am placing this Robert Greer as a son of Thomas, as it appears is given by Leonard Greer, but some of the information may be incorrect.)
