Frances "Fanny" Johnson

(1878 - )

1897 - "MARRIED. "Last Tuesday afternoon (29 December 1896) the residence of Justice Judia was the scene of a quiet wedding. The contracting parties were Miss Fannie Judia and Mr. Will Keppler. Justice Judia performed the ceremony before a small circle of their most intimate friends and relatves. "At 6:30 p. m., the bridal party, accompanied by their friends proceeded to the Neese restaurant, where a hasty supper had been prepared which was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The bride was dressed in white, trimmed in lace and ribbons, with the customary veil and orange blossoms. Miss Fannie was one of the most highly esteemed young ladies in Solomonville. Modest, ladylike in every way and she leaves a host of friends here who mourn her departure. Mr. Will Keppler has resided at Globe for the past year where he has been employed in the smelter. He is a boy well liked and has many friends in the upper end of the county. Those present at supper were: "Misses Jennie Parks, Dolly Parks, Lilly Solomon, Jennie Kelly, Hazel Bond, Bertha Neese, Belle Neese, Pearl Martin. Messrs Solomon, Fox, H. Keppler, A. Davis, Johnny Keppler, Kelly, Reeves, Epley. Mr. and Mr. Judia, Mrs. James Martin, Mrs. Frank Neese and Mrs. B. W. Olney. The newly married couple left on Wednesday"s train for Globe, where they will reside in the future. The Bulletin wishes them much joy." (Herman Keppler was mentioned much in various papers. He was probably the brother of Will Keppler. We have biographical article on Herman Keppler. In the 1885 census, the Kepplers were next door to the Judia family.) ("Graham County Bulletin" - Solomonville, 1 January 1897.)

Fannie Keppler was living with her mother, Theodocia, step-father, John F. Judia, and their family in Solomonville in 1900. She is shown as married with one child born, but no husband or child is there.
